In this blog post I will going over what is needed to become a graphic designer as well as other things related to the job. For starters i will being going over what exactly a graphic designer does. The main job of a graphic designer is to create visual conceptions, this can be through making by hand or digitally. The goal of these is to communicate ideas that inspire, inform, and captivate consumers. the branch of graphic designer I’m focusing on is ones who do graphic design who does the work to design the characters within a video game otherwise known as the sprites. The job for these graphic designers is to create content that feels and looks good to the people playing the game.

To first become a graphic designer you need at least a bachelors degree in graphic design or in a related field, for those who have a bachelors degree in another field may pursue technical training in graphic design to meet most hiring qualifications. The skills that you will need to learn are for starters IT skills, especially with design and photo-editing software, a well as an understanding of the latest trends and their role within a commercial environment to name just 2.

The equipment you will need as a graphic designer is first a some form of hardware. this could be either pen/pencils for jotting down ideas or for most graphic designers some type of computer. commonly the computer used is a mac computer since it runs most of the programs that graphic designers use. Along with this an important tool is some sort of software this could range from design-based like Adobe Illustrator and Freehand to layout programs such as QuarkX press and Adobe InDesign

The average wage for a graphic designer for video games is $75,500 a year. for new designers it starts at $39,000 per year and for more experienced designers it can go up to $105,000 per year.

although not being a very dangerous job you can still hurt your self as a graphic designer. one way that you could get hurt is getting carpel tunnel. this is gotten through excess pressure in your wrist and on the median nerve. this is happens by repeating the same action over and over again which is done with type code as a graphic designer.
